Senator Yayi, supports education with two laptops to Lagos West schools.
THE lawmaker representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Olamilekan Adeola (aka Yayi), has urged secondary school pupils to be technologically- compliant “in this digital age.”
He said this would ensure their adaptive capabilities and relevance.
The senator spoke yesterday while launching the distribution of laptops to secondary school pupils in Lagos West.
Adeola, the convener of the YAYI Education Support Initiative, said: “Education is a pivotal part of my agenda as a senator and I will ensure I stay focused on delivering it adequately.”
According to him, “it is the second of the phase of his initiative after the ICT centres in five schools in the senatorial district were launched.” Sixty pupils and 35 schools benefited. Each school got two laptops.
A recipient, Osotomahen Magnus, a pupil of Owututun Senior Grammar School, appreciated the presentation, saying the device would enable him improve his study skills in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The Principal Education Officer, Education District 1, Alimosho Senior Grammar School, Mrs. Kazeem Bintu, said: “I’m happy that my pupils have received laptops. This will promote independent learning. It will enhance teaching, learning and research in the classroom.”
