The Secretary to the Local Government, Badagry LGA, Hon Ajape Kamorudeen Adegoke  has provided useful tips to youth and their roles in politics. He charges youth to shun social media analysis and take up real actions in politics. He said that the roles of youth in transforming the society should involve setting of agenda for their political representatives at all levels, while mapping out plans on how they should be achieved. Also, there should be collection and sharing of ideas among themselves to better one another and for the good of the society. He admonished that youth should stop being servitudes.

This was said in an online Zoom interview session organized by The Social Watch media on Saturday 3rd October. The secretary was a guest on the platform, where he talked on the topic" NIGERIA's Independence: 60 years in Retrospect"

Disarming his topic, he says that Nigeria cannot be called a failed state. That the nation has achieved some national development over the years. This development to him is seen in the education sector, as more schools, Institutions, have been built against the statistics in 1980s.

However, he believes that Nigeria's problem is nothing other than poor representation in all levels of government.

When asked on why Badagry has remained largely underdeveloped, he said that the lack of influential persons in the region is affecting its development. Badagry doesn't have people who wield strong national or state power whose voice can make or mar things.
