13 year old kills father in Edo

 

Police in Edo have intensified investigation into the murder of a 79-year-old man, Osariakhi Oronsaye, by his son, Abubakar, 13.

Police spokesman Bello Kontongs on Monday said prosecution of the suspect might be hampered because he is a  minor.

He disclosed that the command would rely on advice of Edo Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), on the steps to take.

The murder reportedly took place on Sunday in Egbon Estate in Benin, the state capital.

The minor allegedly hit his father on the head with an axe while he was asleep.
