LCYDI train leaders, directorate members, on leadership.



In the desire to produce responsible and patriotic youths Leaders in Lagos states, the Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative LCYDI leadership, under the Chairmanship of Amb. Akanni Michael has engaged all the members and Leaders of Directorate Committee at the Lagos State Youth Center, Oshodi.


The facilitator of the Training, Mr. Tokunbo Ojeola, did well with the topic, dissecting the different arms of leadership. 

His key points of discourse caption, were identified as...

having an action plan. This may be a daily, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly plan. 

Connect with people. (network)

Capture the work you are doing for future reference. This requires making use of the social media to project the impacts. 

Reach out to people. Otherwise, no one will know your needs. 

Identify a problem and find solution. 

Be hard-working, creative and disciplined. 

He wrapped up by a question-and-answer forum, where so many youth leaders personal leadership challenges, were addressed to their delights. 

After the section, members were enjoined to be part of the program at most two, directorate bodies, which comprise: sports environment, health, education, media, security, and inter-corporate committee. New directorate members were registered and new heads were appointed for some directorates. 

The LCYDI Chairman, Amb. Akanni Michael briefed the Directorate Committee on the inter communities game and some other upcoming events including one that is scheduled for June 6th at Elegushi Beach in partnership with SWEEP for Coca-Cola. 

Everyone was charged to take the responsibility of leadership and be effective. The training ended amidst fun, networking and several group photographs.
