Eid-El Fitr: Lagos youth body (LCYDI) send special message to Muslim faithful

Today, Muslims faithful in Nigeria joined their counterparts all over the globe to celebrate the successful completion of Ramadan fasting, Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative congratulates Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and most especially, Lagos Communities as they celebrate Eid-El Fitr. 

The statement released by the State Chairman, Amb. Akanni Michael to news men in Lagos on Thursday, he urged muslim faithfuls to remain steadfast and continue to pray for peace, progress and unity of the country, stressing that development can only take place when the people are united.

He further urged Muslims faithful and the entire citizens to embrace the spirit of love, selflessness, tolerance, sacrifice and charity, as preached by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).

Ramadan has come and gone, but those character imbibed during the Holy Month must not be ignored. We should continue to show gratefulness to Almighty Allah for given us privilege to have fasted successful in the Holy Month with prayers and sleepless night. May Allah accept it for us as an act of Ibadah. Ameen

Amb. Akanni implore his fellow Youths to maintain peace at all time, love one another, because it's stipulated in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, that we are to live together as one indivisible. So, let's maintain peace on tranquility for better Nigeria. We should love our country Nigeria and together we can make Nigeria great again.

While charging Nigerians to continue to pray for the peace and stability of Nigeria especially now that the country is faced with numerous challenges especially insecurity, he urged all to renew faith in Nigeria and build a strong, united, progressive and decent democratic society.

Akanni, commended the efforts of the state government’s response to the fight against the raging COVID-19 pandemic, urging all citizens to continue to observe the COVID-19 safety protocols by the government and health authorities.
