It's time for Badagry to raise SM



It's wrapping up time for incumbent lawmakers at the local level - councilors, in Lagos State. And it's also a medium for aspiring councilors to define their decisions, take giant strides towards achieving their heart desires of representing the people. 

Sewanu Michael Olami, has declared his ambition on this, with flyers flying in the social media rooms. 

SM is a B.ed holder from the university of Ado Ekiti, now Ekiti State University Ado ekiti and an activist, who has done a lot on emancipatory movement in Badagry, beyond his ward or LCDA. He hails from Oglogbo Community, in the biggest Ward in Badagry West - Ward E.

 Sewanu has engaged in several communities development exercises, youth engagement and participated fully in facilitating the rehabilitation and restoration of Seme -Gbaji Electrification project. 

He has advocated for the reduction of multiple illegal checkpoints on Badagry Federation corridor, advocated for the retainership of the almost to be mortgaged Suntan Beach Resort, fought for the J4 and J5 garage spaces allotment respectively, served as one of the frontliners of the fix Lagos Badagry Expressroad Mass Movement, served the party as Polling unit agent since 2006 to 2014, Served as Ward collation officer in Ward D, Badagry West, represented Badagry in many capacities by proclaiming it best among any indigenous community in Lagos State.

He has also served NGOs, notable figures and personalities and groups like Badagry Indigenes Professionals, African Clean up Initiative, Helpfellows, NACTAL Abuja etc. As a volunteer to facilitate food items and other materials to the less priviledged and old ones, decried the excesses of the law enforcement agencies in terms of their modes of operation to fall within the standard of national modus operandi.

He organized a symposium to drive home the need for infrastructural developments, participated in the formal establishment and installation of several youth groups within his immediate community and beyond, advocated for peace, unity and synergy among stakeholders on the Badagry corridor.

As a self-employed youth  who has not really been in command of large amount of money, and following the huge financial demands of this course, SM would need the support of the good people of Badagry whom he has actually served and fought for in many areas to enable him achieve this desire of representing the people actively with social purposes. 

He has in his Manifesto to build a shared future and represent everyone to tackle divisions, promote economic growth through business friendly policies and ensure cleaner and greener communities, improve well-being and leisure of the people through laws.
