Nigeria becomes the third worst hit nation of Convid-19 in Africa

On Wednesday night, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 543 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

NCDC revealed this via their official Twitter handle.

It brings the total number of cases in the country to 38,344. This means Nigeria has only trail behind South Africa the first and Egypt second in the continent.

Of that number, 15,815 patients have been discharged, while 813 have died.

Lagos state, Abuja (FCT) and Oyo still have the highest number of cases with 13,806, 3,297 and 2,219 respectively.
