What you don't know about Mobolaji Ogunlende (RAK) - Brief profile

 


There have been several intuitions, self made assertions and fabrications regarding the profile of Mr RAK, especially, as it pertains to his Badagry origin. Some have said that he is not even a Badagrian but political ambitions made him weave himself to Badagry.

The Social Watch, has written this for you to be acquainted with the RAK CEO.

Early Childhood. 

Mobolaji Ogunlende, fathered by a Badagry West Indigene, Ogunlende, from Ogunkome quarters in Esisetingbo  compound, Asheri village. Mobolaji started his early live in Lagos Central, where he attained his primary and secondary education before moving abroad.

Higher Education:

 Mr Mobolaji, has BA in  Business Economics from University of Leicester, UK. He earned his MSC in Hydrocarbon Enterprise from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. 

Work Experience

Mr Mobolaji Ogunlende is highly motivated, results-oriented, professional with solid international experience. Works independently and cooperatively as part of a team to accomplish set goals. Skilled at assimilating information fast and recommending viable business Solutions. He has ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, effective in building and maintaining customer relationships based on trust, communication and quick resolution to customers' issues. 

Mobolaji is currently the Head of Operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa For Oando trading, a subsidiary of the Oando plc. Prior to joining the Oando group, he worked with Halliburton and Inc, under various capacities across the US and UK offices in the government and infrastructure units, as well as the energy and chemicals part of the organization. He also has extensive banking experience gained from working and business development, strategy, asset finance and financial advisory with the Lloyds TSB Bank, UK Zenith International Bank respectively.

The RAK Project

Mobolaji Ogunlende is the CEO of the Non Governmental Organization Real Act of Kindness RAK,  making waves in Badagry.

RAK Development Foundation was established some years ago but became fully registered in 2018. It strives to empower local communities to create a more sustainable future for subsequent generations. To do so, the body partners with local communities to build a more sustainable and empowered future through education, health and youth empowerment. The three canons of the body are: to put smile on people's face, quench thirst, and empower generations. 

Why RAK in Badagry?

Being a bonafide indigene of Badagry, he feels obliged to contribute to the well-being of his locality, where he also owes allegiance.  The desire to change the narratives of the area and people brought him to his father's land, through an uncle who still remembers home. This zeal is not rooted in politics, rather in social engagements and humanitarian services.  

Since his arrival in Badagry, everyone has heard the name and felt the Impacts in good light, having touched every facet of human's endeavors with his kindness and empowerment

Political Ambition.

As of this moment, RAK hasn't declared his intentions in politics, but everyone can see that he is not freaked by political positions as his impacts are done without gratuities. Though, there are sections of the Badagry populace who believe his actions are tilted towards political goals. 

Meanwhile majority of the youth in Badagry feel RAK should be dragged into politics to represent the region at federal or state level, or pushed forward for state's appointments.

RAK, is happily married with children.
