World Environmental Day and the Eko Beach Race. Everything you should know

In commemoration of the 2021 World's Environment Day, the SWEEF FOUNDATION holds, Eko Beach Race in partnership with LAGOS COMMUNITY YOUTH DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE, (LCYDI,) an event using sport to contribute to waste prevention among young people.

The Statewide Waste and Environmental Education Foundation (SWEEP FOUNDATION) and other partner Organization would like to invite you to attend and participate  in the Eko Beach Race, an event celebrating World Environment Day 2021 through ocean front race. 

The event aptly tagged A Race Against Plastic Pollution, will harness the power of sport as a tool for building youth and community resilience in the context of holistic waste prevention.

Participants will use the opportunity to engage in beach plastic cleanup activities with lots of prizes and gifts to be won.

The event is designed to hold on Saturday, 5th June 2021. It is venued at Elegushi Private Beach, Lekki, Lagos with kickoff time set at 8:00 am, with no entry requirements.

The winner goes home with 50,000 Naira, Second place winner receives 30,000 while third place winner gets 20, 000 Naira with lots of prizes for other participants.
