Lagos youths organize Inter Communities sport competition, see how to join


 In the desire to always project the image of youth in the state and create sense of belongings, the Lagos Communities Youths Development Initiative (LCYDI), has come up with another concept, by introducing the Maiden Edition of the inter Communities sportscompetitions.

According to the president, Akanni Michael, he said the essence of the competition is to unite communities and cement bond of relationship, since research reveals that sports have proven to be the most effective way to achieve healthy inter societal relationship. 

According to this Edition, a total number of 16 communities are expected to participate in each game at the Local Govt level. 

The games selected are : Football, Table Tennis, Scrabble, Chess and Ayo Olopon.

Registration for this starts 1st May, ends 5th of May, 2021. The registrationform submission will be at a venue under the local government, controlled by an LCYDI local executives. The competition is scheduled for 15th May, 2021.

According to the organizers, fixtureswill be released 10 days before opening games.Each Community registered and cleared will participate in all the Identified games. Winner in Football and other games will be recognized for prizes. 

All registered participants and volunteers will be given special items customized for the competition during the state wide games scheduled for August 2021.

The games will only last for two weeks. Starting on 15th May and end on 30th May, 2021.The winning Community will stand to represent the local government in the State Inter Local Govt. Games scheduled for August, 2021.

The Registration Form is free and Administrative charge per Community is #10,000. (Commitment fee).
