Tinubu is the right person that can break the Northern Agenda - Olajide A. Lawal Esq.
I am not campaigning for Tinubu. My clamour is not for ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU but for BITTER REALITY OF WHERE WE ARE NOW and fear of the unknown tomorrow.
I have read few articles here and there and have discovered that without being united on one purpose, we may lose in its entirety (God forbid). Our fathers doubted Awolowo's sincerity of purpose. They screened out his many faults and frustrated his political career. On his death, Nigeria lamented, he was the best president Nigeria never had.
The 120million youth include those whose will is controlled by doctored religious principles and northern allegiance even though their poverty stinks more than the stench odour from the septic tank - not trying to be rude. Yet religion nor northern allegiance has not helped their plights.
Politics is a game of experience and not just chance. The experience if garnered well, will give room for some good, skilled, intellectual and sincere minds who will listen and react to the agitations of the people. See Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu trying to clean up the mess they created and doing it well enough with so much passion and tenacity even if it is for a purpose.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has this undue ambition and laced with a lot of tyranny. But an educated tyrant is better than a fanatic dictator. I do not try to exonerate him, but the question here is, 'Who is the better criminal here?' If we don't act fast, they may act smart. We need results that will put us among strong economies of the world.
The Northerners have mopped up too much cash reserve ranging from monies recovered by EFCC, money embezzled from NNPC, Abba Kyari's loot, Abacha's loot just to mention but a few. They know the sponsors of Boko Haram and they are still equipping and strengthening them and will not stop at anything than frustrating the government at will.
Jonathan was a good man but couldn't fight the cabal. Osinbajo is an elected Vice president but has been silenced perpetually. Too much power concentrated in the central government and same is controlled by the Northern elites at the expense of the people even those they claim they represent.
I don't like the idea of amassing wealth and power at the expense of the people (masses) but we still have a lot of thinking and strategies to do if at all we want to take our rightful place in the seat of power and amongst great economies of the world.
Lagos is tilting towards that end but you will be surprised how some western leaders are supporting the Federal Government's action of freezing account and deleting names of companies from CAC and attacking the protesters that have come with a message. They have neglected the message that will do us more good but chose to attack and subdue the messengers to make them dumb and as toothless as their puppets who do nothing but to sing their praise.
We are just speculating here. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has garnered enough energy, political will and finance. The North still fear him, knowing he is their greatest threat. If the North can reject Buhari all this time and Tinubu's mastery brought him in, then Tinubu is a political force not to be taken with a pinch of salt but one that must be reckoned with in this political climate. They will do everything possible to break his hold on Nigeria's political structure. And we are the tools to help them fulfil that ambition, cashing in on our anger, ignorance and innocence.
Knowing well that Tinubu may favour the Western agitations for restructuring to enable states develop at their own pace rather than enslaving other races under the tyranny and mediocrity of one, who believe power is their birthright.
Nnamdi Kanu has fully disoriented the Igbo youths, at least most of them which may also be a problem to *our righteous anger* for a change.
Don't forget that the Northern loyalists have taken over every key sector in this nation, just name it. The Police, the Judiciary, EFCC, CAC, various ministries and so on.
Look at Tinubu's reaction to the uprising and compare it to Buhari's reaction. We really need prayers for direction and real strategic actions for survival. If we don't have someone who can break the northern agenda of *THE NORTHERNER FIRST*, then come 2023, we may be preparing for the Oduduwa nation if the result is far from our expectations - following our RIGHTEOUS ANGER.
Many of our youths need to be absorbed into governance to be able to gather enough experience to take over. We must also play along. President Buhari's administration still treats us as toddlers who cannot handle serious matters. If we don't hide behind some powers to give our voices audibility, we may be silenced just like those ceremonial heads which started with our own dear Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe.
If we take over when we are not fully prepared for the throne, they have the highest number of headless and brainless fanatics. Your guess is as good as mine.
Remember the man who trekked to Abuja to celebrate enthronement of President Buhari. That is just one man out of a lot.
Let's suggest candidates for 2023 and see whether we stand a chance,
1. Ben Bruce of Silverbird. I love his speeches, but many still hate him and can't give him a vote calling him names tainted with insincerity.
2. Falz? He can't tell us he is ready for such a mountainous task.
See how Desmond Elliott addressed the youth in the heat of the protest, an act which shows him grossly incompetent to handle sensitive issues
3. Sowore has his political career messed up by the government of the day. You know what his present claims are - his life is in danger.
4. Fela Durotoye, a very good and upright man. Does he have knowledge of what the rigging can do. The more you see, the less you understand.
5. Babatunde Raji Fashola, a discipline and hardworking man who has won the respect of the South West. Will he gain such support from the East let alone the North.
May God help us to pick the right voice for the progress of this nation. I am just a voice that is concerned with the prosperity and development of our dear country no matter how it comes.
Nigeria is too rich in natural deposits and massive human endowment. We cannot afford to waste this wealth on mediocrity and start another blame game.
What shall we hand over to our children?
