Let Lagos rest for now -- Concerned Lagos Youth

 




Following the freezing of accounts of the #Endsars promoters by CBN, some youth in Lagos have threatened to embark on a second wave of protest in the state on Monday.  The protests is to express their grievances over the account freezing which includes a Lagos youth panelist, Rinu Oduala. 

Reacting to this, the Concerned Lagos Youth, body has called on all to embrace peace and let Lagos rest for now from all protest. 

The Concerned Lagos Youth,  is an Organization which has its members spread across the 57LCDA/LGA of the state. It has the objectives of engaging the Lagos youth in orientation for a collective responsibilities of social development. It called on Lagos youths to embrace peace, speaking at its state conference in Lagos on Saturday.

The chairman, Mr Idris  Ogungbo says that "our voices have been  heard even loud and clear and we must now allow the Government to work and observe the veracity of their woks. "

 The body concludes  that  "we will indeed support that Lagos should rest for now as many of our matters in court especially those that require urgency are all adversely affected. 


Meanwhile, the body frowns at government freezing protesters account , describing it as unhealthy approach towards conflict resolution. The statement reads , "However, why is government freezing account and making arrest of the sponsors of the protest. We are clearing the table of mashed yam, government is still shaking the crumbs back unto the table. The government should pardon every hurt and move on rather than raise more dust.
