    *PULPIT ENGLISH*
Many of the pastors, evangelists, teachers, preachers, et cetera all use English language on the pulpit- a raised platform in a church with steps leading up to it from which they speak to the congregation.

Today, attention shall be turned to how they use  English grammar and pronunciation in their various messages on the pulpit.

Learn something remarkable.

1.0.       *GODSENT*
                    OR
            *GODSEND?*
Pastor X is on the pulpit. Shortly after he has explained what happened in the Garden of Eden, he established that Adam is a *g̶o̶d̶s̶e̶n̶t̶.* You were happy and wanted to share it with your friend, too.

*Do not say/write,* "Chris, you won't believe this. Our new pastor has explained the mysteries behind the Garden of Eden today. He is truly a *g̶o̶d̶s̶e̶n̶t̶* to our church." ❌ *(INCORRECT)*

*Rather, say/write,* "Chris, you won't believe this. Our new pastor has explained the mysteries behind the Garden of Eden today. He is truly a *godsend* to our church." ✅ *(CORRECT)*

*RULE 1:* A godsend is someone or something that comes into the picture unexpectedly and helps somebody or something when they need help.

*RULE 2:* Wherever it appears within a sentence,  the 'g' must be in a small letter.

*RULE 3:* The word must always be written together as "godsend" not, "god send".

*RULE 4:* We can equally have "godsends" as a plural.

2.0.     *CONVENANT*
                      OR
           *COVENANT?*
Evangelist "Y" preached to the church about how good the Lord is. On many occasions, he kept pronouncing *"c̶o̶n̶v̶e̶n̶a̶n̶t̶".* On getting home, you decided to share the Word with your roommate, too.

*Do not say/write,* "Tofunmi, that problem you're going through is nothing before God. Don't forget that he fulfilled his *c̶o̶n̶v̶e̶n̶a̶n̶t̶* with His people." ❌ *(INCORRECT)*

*Rather, say/write,* "Tofunmi, that problem you're going through is nothing before God. Don't forget that he fulfilled his *covenant* with His people." ✅ *(CORRECT)*

*RULE 1:* There is no such word as convenant in the English lexicon.

*RULE 2:* The word covenant ( c-o-v-e-n-a-n-t) is one without an *"n"* before the *"v".* It means a formal agreement between two or more people,' it is a "promise".

This month, your godsend will locate you and fulfill God's covenant in your life.
