Lagos Lg Election: Kopi Family drums support for all FKJ APC candidates

 

In a bid to build trust connect with the grassroots and sensitize the people on the importance of bringing power to the Southwest in 2023, Kunle Olayinka Peace Initiative yesterday pledged total support for the Chairmanship, vice chairmanship and Councilorship candidates of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ifako Ijaiye federal constituency ahead of the July 24th local government election in Lagos State as the expectation on APC is very high and so success is sacrosanct.

Addressing his teeming supporters at a family meeting held in Lagos yesterday, the pragmatic,  man of transparency and accountability, Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on DAWN Commission Matters, *Hon Adekunle Olayinka (KOPI)* said that the meeting was organized to strategize on how to mobilize and canvass votes for the entire APC flag bearers in Ifako Ijaiye LG and Ojokoro LCDA. He expressed confidence in the capacity of both Hon.Usman Akanbi Hamzat and Hon.Toyin Akerele  to drive the affairs of Ifako Ijaiye local government to a far greater height. He added that these two gentlemen will complement the efforts of Governor  Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in building a more prosperous and a viable State for all residents.

KOPI, as he is often called said it makes no rational or logical sense to spend weeks and resources mobilizing people to vote for the party and then one fails to vote  due to one untenable excuse or another. To overcome this "unplanned apathy" he proffered a way out. KOPI asked every member to get a thrift box "Kolo Party" where they will leave their voters' cards in readiness for the election proper. He reminded the family that the cherished tradition of saving money in a thrift box "Kolo" especially by our prudent mothers can be revisited but this time voters' Cards should be the valuable saved in these thrift boxes *"kolo"*. He proceeded to turn the catch phrase into a song and then a slogan. Everyone  was mesmerized and wowed when he sang "Koloo .... Party! Laamafiii voter's card wa si, ta ma mu jade lojo idibo".

According to KOPI, it is not enough to canvass for votes and then fail to vote yourself. Going forward, he called on the family to canvass votes and also create time to vote for the party's Chairmanship flag bearers, their vices and other candidates of our great party in the forth coming election.

Quoting the grand canvasser himself, he said "I want to assure you that if all of us here follow the instructions given to us, then we  will be able to mobilize thousands of Ifako Ijaiye residents in favor of our candidates". 

He added that achieving monumental success in the forth coming election will go along way in boasting the party's drive and push to land the presidency come 2023. 

Erstwhile Executive Secretary of Ifako Ijaiye LG, Hon. Olurotimi Adeleye while addressing the crowd stressed the importance of party loyalty. He progressed to encouraged the family to continue to support all APC candidates in Ifako Ijaiye federal constituency.

Chairman of Kopi family, Mr. Bababunmi Sakiru called on the house not to relent in their drive to sustain the progress already attained by the party. He further admonished them to shun any form of discrimination whatsoever and continue to work as a united front.

Members present at the event were given opportunity to ask questions they have been wanting to ask all the while. The level headed and intelligent gentleman, the convener of the meeting, Engr. Adekunle gave seasoned responses to their many questions to the satisfaction of all present.
